Welcome to Hilldale
Just twenty minutes west of O'Hare, Hilldale was carved in 1970 from land once owned by the famed retailer Marshall Field. In an area thick with golf courses, you needn't shop long to find the most challenging layout with the truest greens in the suburbs.
Water comes into play on thirteen holes, the fairways run narrow and rolling, and precise shot-making is rewarded on nearly every tee. Whether you're chasing a personal best or gathering the group for an outing, Hilldale plays like the championship course it was designed to be.

The Course
A par-71 parkland test of position, angles, and nerve — with water lurking on thirteen holes and greens that have earned their reputation across Chicagoland.

“Gentlemen, the hole is fair. Eminently fair.”— Robert Trent Jones, Sr., after acing his own contested par-3
The man who designed Hilldale created the putting green at the White House for President Eisenhower, built courses on every continent but Antarctica, and was the first architect inducted into the Golf World Hall of Fame. Our course is his only 18-hole design in Northern Illinois.
